Are you an experienced Manager IT Operations looking for a great technology scale-up challenge in the energy market? Energy21 has THE opportunity for you!

We provide leading international energy companies with IT data-management solutions. We’re in an ambitious, exciting new phase of our business, and we’re seeking a Manager Operations who helps us to lead and further professionalize the Operations for our B2B software. You will be joining a team of 50 people in Utrecht (Netherlands) and 20 developers in Portugal and Paraguay.

Responsibilities

 

  • Operationally manage Energy21’s customer software and IT services, as well as our internal IT environments (including costs management).
  • Coordinate internal (ITIL) processes and identification of root causes, bottlenecks and risks in the internal and external environment with the aim of increasing quality and efficiency in the organisation and in our collaborations with partners.
  • Set priorities with regard to the daily planning, release planning and incident/problem management, escalation and communication towards internal and external parties.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for policies & practices, processes, reporting, organisation, collaboration, etc. You convert these opportunities into practical plans and are able to implement them.
  • Realise a (cultural) change to fully automated and digitised processes.
  • Work constructively together with specialists and developers in the Netherlands, Portugal and Paraguay, and with client consulting teams.

 

Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Computer Science, IT or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Operations Management (preferably for a software vendor).
  • Experience with process management (ITIL), IT/software and the energy market (preferred).
  • Knowledge of IT security & data protection operations and legislation (e.g., GDPR).
  • Experience with agile.
  • Good people and communication skills, ability to connect well with others (at all levels), and ability to get people on board and to motivate them.
  • Analytical and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain consistency and transparency.
  • Interest in the technology and functional specification of the application and the solution on the customer side but along with the ability to maintain a broad overview.
